Julie Svare is a gifted songwriter, vocalist, and instrumentalist who has performed in choirs, orchestras, and solo work. She is very interested in the genres of the 1940s and 1950s, and has written her music to reflect this time period.
In early years, violin was her main musical training. During this time, she was also very interested in singing and added this to her training. She has been influenced by the musicians of mid-twentieth century, and was always listening to her mother’s records and her choice of radio station, as well as her older sisters’ musical tastes, giving her a wide variety of musical interests.
Her first release was Old Redmonto. This particular tune is a tribute to her parents, Al and Gert, and the years they spent dancing, including the Redmonto dance pavilion in Redmond, Utah. The tunes are fun and inspiring. Even a little surprising in “For A While”. She is very excited about this release and hopes that her listeners will enjoy and recommend it to their friends and family.
Her latest album, Red Rocks, was released on 15 November 2023.

In addition to performing her own works, she also covers tunes by The Sons of the Pioneers, Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, and Hank Williams, Sr.
